Engagement photo shoot in Hong Kong

Giney and Andy’s engagement session was photographed on the third day of the Hong Kong trip. It began on Hong Kong Island with the Bank of China building in the background, then continued into an evening shoot around Tsim Sha Tsui and Kowloon, including the market and shopping streets.

The city after dark was an important part of this session. Buildings, shopfronts and street lighting gave the photographs a different setting from the coastal locations visited on the previous day. This gallery follows that urban engagement story.

Planning an engagement or pre-wedding shoot

For an urban engagement session, choose whether you want daylight, evening photographs or both before making a list of locations. That choice affects the starting time and how far it is sensible to travel. Leave enough time to move between districts without making the session feel like a transport schedule.

Busy streets call for flexibility: a favourite corner may be crowded, and a quiet portrait may work better a short walk away. Discuss how much walking you are comfortable with and whether you need somewhere to change. For any private interior or restricted viewpoint, confirm permission before including it in the plan.

See the earlier Hong Kong pre-wedding session, which included Stanley Market, Repulse Bay and The Peak. To arrange your own session, send your dates and destination.
