Bevis Marks Synagogue and Trinity Buoy Wharf – North London Wedding Photographer

Jewish Wedding Photographer in London

Jewish wedding photographer – sounds like a specialty to me! Well, Jewish weddings are different from others, so you need a little experience to be a proper Jewish wedding photographer. Oh yes, I’ve recently gained tons of it. Having shot a wedding in Israel earlier last summer, in the heart of Judaism, shooting this wedding was pretty straightforward to me.

I’ve been also photographing weddings in London for many years. Since then I’ve shot over 600 weddings for my clients all over Europe (mostly in the United Kingdom, France, and Italy).

But now meet Mia and Jonathan at their Jewish wedding in London. We started out at Mia’s parents’ house in north London where they were getting ready. The house was filled with warmth and love, and the whole family was involved in the preparations.  The room where they prepared everything looked like a real fairy-tale workshop – with flowers and ribbons hanging from everywhere. And lots of sweets.

After that, we took a ride to the Bevis Marks Synagogue in Central London where they had a beautiful ceremony.  The synagogue has been around for over 350 years and is among London’s most famous landmarks. It stands as a symbol of Jewish identity and culture in one of the world’s major cities, as well as being an important tourist attraction. The bride and groom looked great, and everyone seemed to have a wonderful time.

Mia and Jonathan are very relaxed people who wanted their wedding day to be just that – relaxed. The Jewish wedding ceremony is followed by a reception in Docklands. Trinity Buoy Wharf is one of the finest wedding venues in Docklands, a location that is not only stunning but also offers magnificent views of the River Thames and Canary Wharf.

I love shooting Jewish Weddings! There is something so special about them – I guess it’s because they are so different from what we are used to. I always find myself wishing I could have one as well 🙂

I love how this shoot turned out – it’s a beautiful mix of contemporary and classic portraiture.
