A wedding story with three different settings
Sophia and Marthen’s day began around Vieux-Lille, with Clarance Hotel part of the city chapter, before the wedding moved to the church ceremony and later to Château de Prémesques.
Photographically, that change of setting is what makes the story interesting: Lille gives the first part a city rhythm, the ceremony brings everyone together, and the château changes the scale again without needing to manufacture a separate portrait session.

The city, the ceremony and the people
I approached the Lille part as documentary coverage: the surroundings matter, but the photographs still need to be about the people moving through the day. The church ceremony is one of the strongest visual transitions in the complete story.

From Vieux-Lille to a French château wedding
The move out of Lille gives the second half of the wedding a completely different sense of place. Rather than forcing the château into every photograph, I use it as context around the real reception, portraits and guest atmosphere.
For weddings with several locations, I keep portrait time concise and work with the actual movement of the day. That protects the celebration while still giving the final gallery a clear visual progression from city to countryside.

Yes. This wedding did exactly that. The city gave the early part of the story a very different atmosphere from the reception at Château de Prémesques, without turning the photography into a separate staged shoot.

I build the photography around the real timetable and transfers. The priority is to keep the story connected while protecting the ceremony, guest moments and enough time for a short portrait window where the light and location work best.
