Simona and David’s autumn engagement session
Simona and David’s engagement photographs move between the Latvian countryside and the Baltic Sea. The gallery brings together two settings within one session: trees and enclosed paths, followed by the open shoreline.
The photographs offer a different reference from a formal wedding day. There is no ceremony or reception to organise the session around, so the route can be chosen for the time you want to spend together and the surroundings you enjoy.
02
Planning an autumn outdoor photoshoot
Choose clothing that is comfortable enough for walking and sitting outdoors. Bring a warm layer that can be put on between photographs, and footwear suitable for paths or sand. If you want a change of outfit, discuss where you can change and how much time it will add.
Treat daylight as part of the plan. A countryside stop and a beach stop need time for travel as well as photographs; keep the route manageable so the last location does not become a race against the light. Agree on a weather alternative before the session, particularly when the coast is part of the route.
03
From engagement photographs to wedding plans
An engagement session can help you decide what feels natural in front of the camera. Some couples prefer a walk with occasional direction; others want more time for composed portraits. Discuss that preference before choosing the locations.
If you are also planning a wedding, share the venue and season when you enquire. The engagement gallery can be a starting point for explaining the balance of landscape, portraits and informal photographs you would like.
