Antibes as a perfect destination for a wedding
Antibes is a small and picturesque town on the Mediterranean coast of France. It’s just a short drive to Cannes and Nice and is also known as one of the original homes of the Cannes Film Festival. Originally home to the Greek god, Antibes is now a popular destination for weddings on the French Riviera. With its quaint streets and seaside cafes, Antibes has all the charm of an intimate wedding location.
Couples can take advantage of these unspoiled surroundings by holding their ceremony at any number of locations. From Church of Our Lady of the Assumption to Chapelle St-Jean or even in Antibes’ famous cathedral. Once the ceremony has taken place, couples have many options for hosting their reception dinner – from luxurious hotels overlooking the sea to chic restaurants along La Croisette. There are also plenty of opportunities for scenic photos thanks to breathtaking views of La Garoupe bay. If you want to get married to classic French architecture and stunning coastal views, this is your best bet!
Norwegian couple’s destination wedding in Cote D’Azur
I am so in love with the French Riviera, I knew that it was the perfect destination for anyone’s big day. Meet Nadia and Gur at their perfect Cote D’Azur vibe Antibes wedding. The couple chose to get married at the bride’s grandmother’s house garden. The house turned into a stunning wedding venue overlooking Cote D’Azure and everything from the flowers to the menu fit in perfectly with their south of France vibe wedding vision. It was a dream come true! Join me as I will share all of the wedding decor ideas of this unforgettable Cote D’Azur wedding day as a Cote D’Azur wedding photographer Antibes!
Mediterranean accent rehearsal dinner
The wedding of Nadia and Gur was a wonderful three-day affair on the Cote D’Azur. Friday evening began with the rehearsal dinner at the bride’s mother’s house. The tables were decorated with blue and white china, blue linen tablecloths, and matching hydrangeas, a southern favorite or Mediterranean accent. For a unique tablescape, mix and match with other inked indigo patterns. All of this is accompanied by excellent acoustic cello music.
Southern french style wedding
Saturday, the couple got married at the bride’s grandmother’s house. The wedding was held in a charming small chapel that was located on the grounds of the estate where the whole wedding took place. An elegant white gown with a long hand-embroidered veil was worn by the bride, she carried a bouquet of white roses and other seasonal flowers from the Mediterranean. The groom wore a black tie.
All decorations and planning were done by Imaginez Cannes and Bruno’s team, thank you guys, you did a stellar job, as always!
A reception on a manicured lawn overlooking the Cote D’Azur valleys followed the ceremony. Guests were served champagne, caviar with toast points, and pate de foie gras sandwiches on French bread that had been baked earlier in the day. The reception was held in a translucent tent set up in the garden, so we didn’t leave the estate the entire day. The tent was decorated with lavenders, as well as light glass candle holders and chandeliers.
Before dinner, we all went out to walk around on this beautiful estate where there was a swimming pool full of floating white roses. Imagine this absolutely amazing southern evening with cicadas and cricket night sounds in the background. But let’s get back to the wedding reception. Tables were set up with candles, white roses, and other seasonal flowers in small vases. There was a dance floor at one end of the tent where a live jazz band played some popular French and the rest of world music that everybody danced to. The party was just crazy.
As wedding entertainment, there were two acrobats rope dancers that were enjoyed by all. What a wonderful evening! There were white roses on the wedding cake, and it looked absolutely stunning.
The following morning – beach day!
And, of course, being Norwegians, they all danced to Macarena, they always do 🙂
Plage Joseph- a nearby beach- was the destination for our third wedding day
My first impression was that it looked like a romance novel scene. Beach was surrounded by rocky outcrops and the water was crystal clear. Additionally, there were several small private beaches that could be rented out by the day or week. The third day had a white summer beach outfit dress code. Everybody wore white and the beach Joseph all decked out in white looked stunning against the crystal blue Mediterranean sea.
This is one of my favorite photos, I love how everything looks so dreamy and romantic.
I would highly recommend visiting Antibes if you are ever in this area of France during summertime, it is absolutely stunning and I am sure you will have an amazing time! If you want to find out more about this beach or plage Joseph follow this link.
This is a very detailed wedding that I wanted to share with you all, thanks for stopping by, and please feel free to leave your comments about this destination wedding in France.

Finding the Perfect Antibes Wedding Photographer
Choosing the right photographer for your special day can be a daunting task. To ensure that you find the perfect match, here are some essential steps to consider:
1. Assessing the Photographer’s Portfolio: Take a close look at the photographer’s portfolio to gauge their style, creativity, and expertise. It’s crucial to find someone whose work aligns with your vision and preferences.
2. Reading Client Reviews and Testimonials: Client feedback offers valuable insights into a photographer’s professionalism and ability to deliver on their promises. Hearing from previous clients can give you confidence in their abilities to handle your wedding shoot.
3. Meeting the Photographer in Person: Meeting the photographer face-to-face allows you to establish a personal connection. Feeling comfortable and at ease with your photographer is essential to capturing intimate moments effortlessly.
4. Discussing Packages and Pricing: Transparency is crucial when discussing packages and pricing. Ensure that the services included in the package align with your needs and budget, avoiding any last-minute surprises.
The Art of Candid Photography
Candid photography is a vital aspect of capturing genuine emotions and spontaneous moments during a wedding. This approach brings authenticity to the images, reflecting the real joy and happiness of the couple and their guests.
1. Capturing Emotions and Spontaneity: Candid photography allows me to freeze fleeting moments that might be missed in traditional posed shots. The laughter, tears, and joyful expressions are immortalized in their most natural form.
2. Blending In with the Crowd: As a skilled photographer, I effortlessly blend in with the crowd, making the subjects feel at ease. This enables me to capture people in their most genuine state without feeling intrusive.
3. Telling a Story Through Images: Candid photography has the power to narrate a beautiful story. The images document the flow of events, ensuring that every moment is cherished and remembered for years to come.
The Role of Traditional Posed Shots
While candid photography is cherished, traditional posed shots hold their place in wedding photography as they preserve timeless moments and cherished relationships.
1. Group and Family Portraits: Group and family portraits provide a comprehensive collection of loved ones present on the big day, celebrating the bonds that bind family and friends.
2. Couple’s Portraits: Couple’s portraits capture the epitome of love and romance, freezing the essence of the couple’s connection.
3. Capturing Key Moments: Certain key moments, such as the first kiss, exchange of rings, and first dance, deserve to be captured in a more composed manner. Traditional posed shots beautifully frame these significant instances.
Overcoming Challenges in Outdoor Shoots
Outdoor shoots in Antibes offer breathtaking landscapes but can also present challenges that photographers must overcome.
1. Weather Conditions: The weather in Antibes can be unpredictable, with sudden rain or harsh sunlight. As a skilled photographer, I adapt to these conditions creatively to produce stunning images.
2. Lighting and Timing: Timing is crucial for outdoor shoots. I leverage natural lighting to create captivating visuals while considering the position of the sun throughout the day.
3. Handling Unpredictable Moments: Weddings are filled with surprises, and I am prepared to capture spontaneous and unexpected moments with finesse and precision.
Post-Processing and Image Editing
After the wedding day, my work continues with post-processing and image editing, enhancing the images without compromising their authenticity.
1. Enhancing Colors and Tones: Post-processing enhances the colors and tones of the images, making them visually appealing and vibrant.
2. Removing Imperfections: Minor imperfections may be present in photos. Post-processing allows me to retouch images subtly, ensuring that the focus remains on the couple’s joy and love.
3. Maintaining Authenticity: While post-processing is essential, it is crucial not to overdo it. The goal is to maintain the authenticity of the moment, preserving the emotions as they were experienced on the wedding day.
Delivering the Final Product
Once the post-processing is complete, I present the final product to the couple, showcasing their love story in the most beautiful way possible.
1. Digital Photo Albums: Digital photo albums offer an elegant and convenient way to view and share wedding photographs with friends and family.
2. Framed Prints and Canvases: Framed prints and canvases add a touch of elegance to wedding photographs, transforming them into stunning pieces of art.
3. Personalized Keepsakes: Personalized keepsakes, such as engraved photo frames or photo books, become cherished mementos that the couple can treasure forever.
