Last Summer (now it seems like a hundred years ago) I was invited to shoot Amber and John’s elegant and timeless black and white-themed wedding in France. The wedding took place in one of the best wedding venues in France. Chateau de Challain is an incredibly beautiful and romantic place to get married in France. It is located at the heart of Loire Valley in a small village Challain la Poterie.

When I first met Amber and John the night before the wedding I had a feeling that these guys are truly in love with each other. And that feeling in my gut didn’t leave me the whole wedding day. There is nothing easier than to photograph a wedding for a couple who is so much in love, I love to capture the natural feelings and emotions of couples like these radiate.

Amber and John chose to go with a black and white themed wedding. Black and white makes anything stylish and to the point. A black and white wedding is also an elegant choice and it’s rather simple to stick to the scheme and very fashionable. They also diluted it with a bit of gold to enliven the composition. Now let’s look at the black and white wedding that Amber and John had (shot in colour though).

There is nothing more romantic than a wedding dinner at the candlelit table and under the century-old trees.

Shooting in available light after sunset is not a piece of cake, so Nikon D850 with low light Nikkor glass comes in handy. Superb low light performer.
