Portofino pre wedding photographer
Welcome to Portofino where I did the pre wedding photoshoot of an amazing couple from Thailand. We did this shoot several weeks ago, when it was still slightly off the typical tourist season in Italy, so there where quite few people in the streets. Certainly feels different from the crowded London or Paris. So we took the advantage of that and did this fabulous shoot. Well, not everything went according to the plan. you see, the sea had washed away the only road from Santa Margherita Ligure to Portofino. Our rental car was replaced by the second to last ferry of the day, which gave as a solid 1 hour for the actual shoot there. We made it work though!
Please check out the gallery below to see the full shoot. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer in Italy, or looking to have a pre wedding photo shoot – be sure to browse my galleries and get in touch here.
Enjoy.
Facts about Portofino
Once a small fishing village nowadays a favourite tourist attraction. Portofino is blending between 2 gulfs that gives it’s magnificent coast line filled with small boats and yachts. The Village is also famous for it’s vibrant architecture. That all makes it a perfect photoshoot location.
Up on the hill you can see Castle Brown that dates back in 1400s. It used to be a fortress that guarded Portofino. Today Castle Brown hosts many exhibitions end different events.
Oh, I love this simplicity of local Italians and that fresh smell of clothes that are dried outside in the fresh air of Mediterranean sea don’t you?

La Piazzetta di Portofino is the biggest and main square in Portofino. As a pre wedding photographer I love this place because it offers so many different photogenic spots.
Chiesa di Giorgio church wedding
I remember one time I photographed a wedding in Chiesa di Giorgio Church. Oh boy, it was such a windy day. Bride was loosing control over her veil. But apart from that the Church offers the most beautiful view of Portofino and the bay. The terrace next to the Church is made from beautiful rocks that are organised in interesting ornaments. Villa Durazzo just minutes from Portofino is one of the finest venues for an Italian Riviera wedding. This mind-blowing villa is filled with frescos, glistering Murano grass chandeliers and Genoese floors. If you want to see wedding I shot there some time ago, please click on link Villa Durazzo Italian Riviera wedding. We didn’t go inside the villa this time, we just wondered around the villas spectacular gardens. There is also a Villa San Giacomo near by the Villa Durazzo. This wedding venue is very nice for smaller wedding than Villa Durazzo.

Thank you guys for being great on the day. Congratulations on your wedding which was just few days ago in Thailand. Enjoy life!
