Babington House sits near Frome, around 30 minutes from Bath. Soho House describes it as a private countryside wedding venue with 33 bedrooms, an Orangery, the Church of St Margaret, a Library and seasonal outdoor ceremony options on the croquet lawn.
That combination makes it possible to keep preparations, ceremony, dinner and the party on one estate. It also reduces the number of transfers that have to be protected in the photography schedule.

How the main spaces photograph
The Orangery has floor-to-ceiling windows looking towards the grounds and lake. It is useful for ceremony coverage, dinner and portraits when the weather turns because the direction and quality of light remain readable without moving guests around the estate.
The Church of St Margaret gives a very different visual structure: compact, historic and close to the house. Outdoor ceremonies on the croquet lawn create more open backgrounds, but the sun position and guest seating plan need checking before the final ceremony time is fixed.

A photography-first timeline
Keep the getting-ready rooms uncluttered near the best window and allow time for the walk between the house and ceremony. Group photographs are easiest immediately after the ceremony, before guests disperse across the grounds.
I normally divide couple portraits into two short sessions. The first secures clean photographs while everyone is nearby; the second uses the softer light later in the day and keeps the couple away from their guests for less time.

The old page quoted a fixed starting price. That figure should not be treated as current. Venue hire, bedrooms, food, drink, production and supplier terms change, so request a current proposal and wedding brochure directly from Babington House before budgeting.

A full wedding day works well here because the story is spread across bedrooms, the ceremony setting, the grounds, the Orangery and the late party. Welcome coverage can be added when guests take over the house for more than one day.
