I photograph international couples in Paris with a simple goal: build a polished gallery that feels visually ambitious without turning the day into a long posing exercise.
The photographer, not just the locations
Paris is the setting. The photographs are the reason to book.
A strong Paris pre-wedding shoot needs more than a list of landmarks. It needs a consistent visual point of view across changing light, crowded streets, formal interiors and quiet moments between locations.
My approach mixes editorial portrait direction with documentary observation. The result is a gallery with the photographs you expect from Paris and the less obvious frames that make the session personal.

Strong portraits without spending the whole shoot posing.
I will direct posture, movement, hands and the relationship between you when the photograph needs structure. Once the frame works, I reduce the direction and let the interaction become more natural.
This matters in Paris because the visual conditions change constantly. A formal staircase asks for something different from a café street, a Seine riverbank or a wide architectural view.

Paris locations
We choose locations for the pictures, not for the checklist.
Eiffel Tower views, the Seine, elegant streets, palace interiors, cafés and quieter residential Paris can all work. The right combination depends on the light, your outfits and the pace you want.

Paris in changing weather
A rainy Paris pre-wedding shoot does not have to become a compromise.
Paris changes quickly in rain, but that does not automatically make the photographs worse. Wet stone gives reflections, cafés and covered passages become useful, the streets can empty for short periods and a darker sky can make formal clothes and architecture feel more cinematic.
I normally keep the route flexible rather than deciding that every planned landmark must still happen in the same order. If the rain is light, we can work between showers and use umbrellas as part of the movement. If it becomes heavier, a hotel, museum-area exterior, arcade or another covered location can become the stronger visual chapter until the weather opens again.
The important part is not pretending the forecast does not matter. It is building enough margin into the schedule that we can change direction without losing half the shoot in taxis. For international couples who have travelled specifically for Paris, that flexibility is much more useful than waiting for a theoretically perfect day.
The places matter less than the sequence
Paris has dozens of good locations. The useful question is which ones belong in your shoot.
The old version of this page was built around a list of Paris locations. I still use many of those places, but I would not recommend choosing them simply because they appear on a top-nine list. Trocadéro and other Eiffel Tower viewpoints can give scale; the Louvre gives symmetry and stone; the Seine gives movement and open space; elegant hotels or interiors change the session toward a more editorial mood.
A focused three-hour shoot normally works better with three or four strong visual chapters than with constant transport. The route also needs to make sense for your outfits. A formal dress may belong around a grand façade or hotel, while a lighter second look often works better by the river or in a quieter street where we can move more naturally.
