My best wedding photography in 2016
Welcome to my look at 2016. Epic year with lots of amazing photos – narrowing down to 130 of them took a while so it’s out just now. It’s not a job or work, i’d call it a journey I take together with my wife Inese and our clients. Enjoy the photos below and you’ll see what I’m on about.
I’d like to use this opportunity to thank everyone involved – my fabulous retoucher Inese and everyone else involved – Clients, video guys, fellow photographers, designers, planners, make-up artists, drivers, cake ladies, thank you all.

That’s it for now – there’s still good stuff coming in following weeks, will keep on publishing.
One of the first ones I shot last year – an early spring in France. Love this bluebell forest, Tiffany and Rune – you were amazing too. Thank you. Late night right after the rain in Paris, the last one of the day. Darina getting ready for her wedding in Riga. Matt getting ready for his wedding at Chateau de Challain. Two funny dogs – I kept my eye at them all day – imagine having 450 people in the garden, out of nowhere! Barber shop in old Riga. Father of the groom. As seen from the street. One of the best greatest wedding venues in France – Chateau de Challain with a cake made by Dea. Gay wedding, my second one. This was pouring the worst rain I’ve seen at a wedding. Thank you Kate for the courage! Chateau des Avenieres. Up in the clouds as it’s in the mountains near Geneva. Tiffany, my greatest fan now 🙂 Well, that’s a way to start a day. A hot wedding in Grasse. Chinese bridal party in France. A summer country wedding in England. A crazy French wedding – Dave keeping and eye at Adeline in the background. Korrina with her cute little bridesmaids. Laura and Carlos, like from a Mexican soap 🙂 Calming the horse – yes, keep that drone at home, horses hate it. Crazy Spanish wedding. A quiet morning in Paris. Engagement ring. Lake Annency. An amazing view from Chateau des Avenieres. A great place to be a wedding photographer Florence. Four Seasons Florence. Perfect timing for this one, had a gut feeling that something was about to go off. Day three of a three day wedding near Geneva. Another ring shot, that angel will take good care of them. Four Seasons – a great place to be a wedding photographer. Marta and Bryan from US at their wedding in Positano. During Seven blessings – a Jewish tradition. French Jazz band. Tiffany. A Jewish wedding – the biggest one I did this year – 450 people. Tiffany and Rune – one of the smallest weddings I did last year – they where two. Still great. Wish you lots of love. Jewish wedding ceremony. Sparkly shoes – Jimmy Choo. Little girl during fireworks. London pre wedding photographer. Love doing close-ups like this. The white one – in the National Art Museum of Latvia. Like taking photos of details like this – they tell a lot of story about the location, time of year, time of day and weather. An early autumn in England. Norwegian wedding in France – Nadia and Gur at their wedding in a private villa in Cote d’Azur. Old Riga has it’s charm – a beautiful place for wedding photography. Thank you Darina and Miguel for this. Rooftops of Paris – right before the shoot. Going to work like this feels very special. I’ts hard to call it work though – it’s more of a lifestyle. Check out that man’s suit – mine was that wet as well. There is a time when France is full of sunflower fields. That time is end of June – early July. The serenity of an autumn day near river Thames, grounds of Bisham Abbey. Wedding guests. Day three. Same sex wedding. Black and white. Wouldn’t mind staying in one of those teepees. This rain was as bad as ever – still love the mood of this photo. People seem to be rushing to the altar. I call this photo “Ruined by Lambada”. This was the look and Lambada was on full volume. Love how some locals couldn’t care less about the wedding just about to start! Amazing. A night ride in a vintage Rolls Royce cabrio in London. Front seat. Mrs Brassil. Sometimes rain helps. My cover photo for Kate and Dmitry. Since the rain spoiled or photo opportunities, we did the shoot on the third day. Mandy from Toronto.
