Wedding Photographer Janis Ratnieks

A fresh style of Wedding photography, alive with emotion and cinematic in vision

Champagne corks popping, flower girls asleep mid-ceremony, wild dance floors-  these are the moments I live to capture. My approach is fresh and cinematic, blending digital and film to give each wedding story depth, texture, and timelessness.

Sometimes I frame a shot with an editorial eye, other times I disappear into the crowd to catch something raw and unguarded. Every glance, every tear, every burst of laughter is preserved exactly as it was.

I work with my wife, who handles all the retouching. Together we bring both artistry and reliability to every wedding, creating photographs that will still feel alive decades later.

Nothing Missed. Everything Remembered

Twenty years of experience have trained my eye to anticipate every moment. I know when to frame beauty with an editorial touch and when to disappear into the crowd to capture raw emotion. Every detail, every glance, every feeling is preserved, alive in the photographs forever.

Stories That Stay With You

Words can hold memories just as strongly as photographs. On my blog I share the weddings that moved me most, the laughter that filled the air, and the small details that might otherwise fade with time. It’s a place for real love stories, inspiration, and reflections gathered from years of seeing life unfold through the lens.
