Saint-Tropez Wedding Photography with a Vineyard Ceremony
Destination wedding in Saint-Tropez · Vineyard wedding in the South of France
Marloes and Michael came from the Netherlands for a two-day wedding in Saint-Tropez –
boules and rehearsal dinner in the main square, a golden-hour vineyard ceremony in the hills
and an intimate party back in town. If you’re planning a wedding in Saint-Tropez and love
the idea of a vineyard ceremony, this is what it looks like in real life.

Rehearsal dinner and boules in the centre of Saint-Tropez
Their Saint-Tropez wedding weekend started in the most local way possible – on the main square,
playing boules under the trees. Marloes and Michael arrived with their guests, picked up the boules
and joined the game. No program, no fuss, just a very French way to warm up before the wedding day.
Once everyone had played a few rounds, they moved to a café next to the boules field for a relaxed
rehearsal dinner. Long tables, wine, evening light and plenty of conversation – the kind of start
that sets the tone for a South of France wedding.

Saint-Tropez landscape and vineyards
One of the best things about wedding photography in Saint-Tropez is how quickly you can move
from busy streets to quiet countryside. A short drive from the port and you’re among vineyards,
olive trees, fields and views towards the sea – perfect for a vineyard wedding ceremony
or a portrait session.

The wedding day itself began at the hotel. No stress, just a slow build-up as everyone
got ready. This is where Saint-Tropez wedding photography becomes very personal –
simple, quiet frames that balance the big vineyard and party scenes later in the day.

Vineyard wedding ceremony near Saint-Tropez
From the hotel we drove out to a local vineyard. An old farmer’s cart with horses waited at the entrance,
ready to take the couple through the vines. Guests gathered under olive trees with the vineyard rolling
out behind them – simple, quiet and very South of France.
The ceremony started as the light dropped into that perfect golden hour. Vows and rings were exchanged
with the vines in the background, followed by a short portrait session in the fields before everyone
headed back to town.

After the vineyard, we returned to Saint-Tropez for dinner and drinks in a small café near the centre.
No formal first dance, no huge dance floor – just good food, a lot of conversation and that slightly
chaotic, warm energy that makes Saint-Tropez evenings so photogenic.

Saint-Tropez wedding photography – FAQ
When is the best time of year for a wedding in Saint-Tropez?
The most popular months for wedding photography in Saint-Tropez are May, June, September
and early October. July and August are beautiful but hot and very busy, so shoulder season
usually gives you softer light and a calmer atmosphere.
Why choose a vineyard wedding near Saint-Tropez?
A vineyard wedding near Saint-Tropez gives you privacy, space and golden-hour light,
while still staying close to the coastline and the old town. You can play boules in the square
one evening and say your vows among the vines the next – all in one small area.
How long do we need for vineyard portraits on the day?
For relaxed, natural portraits you don’t need a huge amount of time. With Marloes and Michael
we had around five minutes in the vines and that was enough to create a full set of vineyard photos.
If we can plan 15–20 minutes around sunset, that’s ideal.
Do you photograph multi-day weddings in the South of France?
Yes. Many of my weddings in Saint-Tropez and the South of France are spread over two or three days
– rehearsal dinners, pool days, brunches and the main wedding day. I’m happy to photograph the full story.
