French Riviera weddings
Cap-Ferrat Wedding Photographer
Calm, elegant wedding photography for couples who love the sea, villas and pines of Cap-Ferrat. I photograph weddings and celebrations across Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and the French Riviera for couples travelling in from the UK, US, Europe and Asia.
- 20+ years of experience and hundreds of weddings photographed across the South of France and wider Europe.
- Editorial + documentary approach – clean, natural images with space, light and atmosphere.
- Fluent in working with destination timelines, multi-day events and international planners.
Based in London and working regularly as a French Riviera wedding photographer across Cap-Ferrat, Antibes, Monaco and Saint-Tropez.
Weddings in Cap-Ferrat – sea views, villas and quiet Riviera light
Cap-Ferrat sits on its own peninsula between Nice and Monaco. It feels private and a little bit off the main Riviera track – pine trees, sea views on both sides, and villas and hotels that feel like small worlds of their own.
Visually, it is all about clean lines, terraces above the water, pastel facades and soft evening light. From intimate celebrations in private villas to larger hotel weddings, Cap-Ferrat gives you a lot of space to breathe.
Many of my couples find me while researching a South of France wedding photographer or French Riviera wedding photographer and then narrow their plans to Cap-Ferrat once they see what is possible here.
I work with international couples who are planning mostly from abroad – London, Hong Kong, Singapore, New York or the Middle East. We talk through local light, realistic timelines and how to keep the day calm while still creating strong images.
My priority is that you stay present with your guests. We plan portraits around real moments, use the best light on the peninsula and keep any posed part short and efficient – often moving between Cap-Ferrat, nearby Antibes or Monaco if it suits your schedule.
Whether you are working with a planner or organising things yourself, I help with simple, practical decisions: where to get ready, when to schedule portraits, and how to use the architecture and sea views without turning the day into a photoshoot.
How I photograph weddings in Cap-Ferrat
Every wedding here is slightly different – villa, hotel or private estate – but the principles stay the same: strong light, clear compositions and space for you to enjoy the day.
Light & architecture
Using villas, gardens and the sea
Cap-Ferrat is all terraces, gardens and pines hanging over the water. I use clean backgrounds, leading lines and simple posing to keep the images elegant and calm – whether we are in a grand hotel courtyard or on a quiet path above the sea.
Approach
Natural, calm, editorial + documentary
Most of the day is photographed as it happens – guests arriving, drinks on the lawn, dinner under the trees. For portraits I give clear, minimal direction so you look relaxed, not staged, with a mix of close moments and wide Riviera scenes.
Experience
Destination & multi-day Riviera weddings
I regularly photograph multi-day events along the coast – welcome drinks in Nice, rehearsal dinner in Monaco, wedding day in Cap-Ferrat and a post-wedding brunch in Antibes or Mougins. One visual language, one photographer, across the whole story.

Favourite wedding locations around Cap-Ferrat
Every couple and every venue is different, but these are the types of spaces that work especially well for photography in and around Cap-Ferrat.
Villas & hotels
Sea-view hotels, villas and private estates
Terraced hotels and villas with views towards Villefranche-sur-Mer, Beaulieu and the open sea. These spaces are ideal for ceremonies on lawns or terraces, cocktail hours by the pool and dinners under fairy lights with the peninsula as your backdrop.
Iconic properties
Villa Ephrussi and neighbouring estates
Historic villas like Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild mix formal gardens, fountains and architecture that looks good from every angle. We can use the paths, balconies and different garden rooms to create variety without pulling you away from your guests for long.
Sea & chapels
Terraces, chapels and quiet garden corners
Small chapels, terraces above the rocks and shaded garden corners are perfect for elopements or intimate ceremonies. They give you privacy and simple compositions – just the two of you, your guests, the sea and the evening light.
Other Riviera destinations I work in
I regularly photograph weddings all along the coast, so if your weekend moves between Cap-Ferrat, Antibes, Monaco, Mougins or Grasse, you can keep one photographer for the whole story.

The most popular months for Cap-Ferrat weddings are May, June, September and early October – warm days, long evenings and softer light. July and August can be hotter and busier, but still work very well if we plan portraits for early morning or late evening.
Many couples base themselves or their guests between Nice, Cap-Ferrat, Antibes and Monaco. It is easy to move between these places by car or boat, and we can plan portraits or welcome drinks in one town and the main wedding day in another.
I often recommend keeping a separate portrait or pre-wedding session, either the day before or after the wedding. This gives us time to explore Cap-Ferrat, Antibes or Monaco without you disappearing from your reception for an hour, and it keeps the wedding day itself calm.
If you are also considering a countryside setting, have a look at my work as a Provence wedding photographer – many couples mix the Riviera with a few quiet days inland.
Cap-Ferrat wedding photographer – FAQ
What is the best time of year for a Cap-Ferrat wedding?
May, June, September and early October are usually ideal – warm days, long evenings and more comfortable temperatures than midsummer. July and August work as well, but we plan portraits for early morning or late evening to avoid the strongest sun and crowds.
How many hours of coverage do we typically need in Cap-Ferrat?
Most Cap-Ferrat weddings work best with 10 to 12 hours of coverage – from getting ready through the ceremony, cocktails, dinner and the first part of the party. For elopements or smaller celebrations we can design a shorter, more flexible coverage around your plans.
Can we do portraits around Cap-Ferrat or nearby towns?
Yes. Many couples split portraits between Cap-Ferrat, Antibes, Nice or Monaco. We can schedule a short session on the wedding day itself or plan a separate pre-wedding shoot so we are not taking you away from your guests for too long.
Do we need permits for photos in public spaces or at villas?
Most private villas and hotels include photography within their normal wedding agreement, but some locations have specific rules or fees. For public spaces, simple portraits are usually fine, but commercial-style shoots may require permits – I can advise based on your venues and schedule.
Do you photograph elopements and small weddings in Cap-Ferrat?
Yes. I regularly photograph elopements and intimate weddings on Cap-Ferrat, often with a ceremony in a small chapel or garden and a simple dinner afterwards. Coverage can be just a few hours or a half day, and we can still include portraits around the peninsula or nearby towns.
