A wedding at Villa Cordevigo near Lake Garda
Villa Cordevigo combines the character of an Italian villa with gardens, parkland and vineyards. Its location between the Verona area and Lake Garda makes it a very different setting from the better-known Lake Como villas: greener, quieter and strongly connected to the surrounding wine country.
For photography, that variety matters. The wedding can move from the interiors and preparations to the gardens, ceremony spaces and vineyard without losing the visual identity of the venue.

The day started with the preparations at Villa Cordevigo. There was no need to rush between distant locations, which helped keep the morning calm and gave me time to photograph the people, details and atmosphere before the ceremony.

Summer ceremony at Villa Cordevigo
Jenny and Shaun’s ceremony was short, intimate and very sweet. The summer weather allowed the wedding to remain closely connected to the estate and its gardens, with guests moving naturally from the ceremony into the rest of the celebration.

Villa Cordevigo wedding photos in the vineyard
My favourite portrait setting at Villa Cordevigo was the vineyard. It gave Jenny and Shaun space away from the reception for a short photoshoot while keeping the photographs completely connected to the place they had chosen for their wedding.
This is the part of a venue like Cordevigo that I find most useful: there is no need to manufacture an Italian backdrop. The landscape, vegetation and architecture are already part of the wedding.

A relaxed destination wedding reception near Verona
The reception kept the same relaxed feeling as the rest of the day. Guests could enjoy the estate while I continued photographing the interactions, details and moments around them rather than turning the reception into a long formal portrait session.
