California Cool Wedding in France, Charente
This story is about Kellie and James who fell in love with each other in England but had an exceptionally amazing Cali Cool wedding in Angouleme, France. If you are not familiar with Angouleme city I can guide you through it. Angouleme surrounded by glorious fields of French sunflowers. And it is the capital city of Charente’s département in southwestern France. Angouleme is called the kingdom of Comics. Yes, you heard me right. There is an amazing “Comics Museum” and a touristic trail that consists of twenty-odd painted walls, created by the “CitéCréation”. But you won’t see these walls right now in my photos, because the wedding of Kellie and James took place in Chateau de la Couronne, which is about 30 km from Angouleme. So back to the wedding.
What is a Cali cool themed wedding?
California cool style can be found in interior design and fashion, now it is also trendy in the wedding industry. So what does it mean Cali cool wedding? This can mean so many different things to different people. But the general indicators that you are invited to Cali cool wedding is all-white wedding decors and attributes. Location wise usually these weddings are located in a relaxed winery or other southern-style building with a pool or access to the beach. Ceremonial outdoor space filled with luxury floral designs and indulged in a laid-back aesthetic.
Kellie and James had exactly that kind of wedding vibe. Chateau de la Couronne with its all-natural decors and interior was a perfect place to host a wedding like this. I was pleased to spend this beautiful summer day at their stress-less wedding. The owners of the chateau – Nicky and Mark were kind and welcoming as always, and they took very good care of both the wedding party and me. I’m not that big of a writer as I am a photographer so I will let my photos speak instead.
Well, I have to confess while I’ve been writing this blog post I heard “California Dreamin'” in my head. As a wedding photographer, I also dream of shooting a wedding in California or somewhere warm right now.
